How to transition from Edition 1 to the Home School Edition

by | Jan 15, 2021 | CCP Edition 1 | 0 comments

Why create a Phonics Home School Edition?

  • The Christ-Centered Phonics Program is now streamlined to be more user-friendly for parents.
No lesson plans have to be repeated. There is only one workbook per lesson plan. (The streamlining also lowers your cost. See below.)
  • The program better accommodates what is commonly considered age-appropriate for home school students.
For example, Phonics Level A is now primarily for teaching advanced 3’s or young 4-year-olds twenty minutes or so two or three days per week. An Advanced K4 who is eager to read will normally do better on Level B (teach in sequence at whatever pacing your child needs).
  • While we recommend using the Home School Edition lesson plans, in most cases (not all) the Edition 1 lesson plans can be used.
For example, the content is basically the same except for the new Phonics Lessons for Aa-Zz: Level A (a simplified version of Phonics Lessons for Flashcards 1-31). In addition, Phonics Lessons for Flashcards 32-66: Level B:2 has expanded Pacing Schedules that reflect 43 additional phonics pages from the original Phonics Workbook C:1. For suggestions on how to upgrade, see the “Phonics Edition 1 vs. Phonics Home School Edition Chart” below.
  • You, our valued customer, ultimately save money.
The materials for the new Home School Edition are streamlined and less expensive to produce, and we are happy to pass that savings on to you.

How to transition from Edition 1 to the Home School Edition
