"Your book "Never too early" is one of the best books I have ever read. It is so so helpful to me. Thanks so much for writing such a wonderful book for parents. I'm so encourged by you! Not only the book, but I have learned so much from your curriculum for the past ten months while I'm teaching my child. I found out that I am the one who should learn the most. I hope that you could ...

Is Your Philosophy of Education Really
Helping Your Child? Find out how Christ's
command "Feed My lambs" gradually
succumbed to "free the lambs"
of America's educational pastures. Understanding
the difference between these two philosophies
can best help you "restore the years
of the locusts" (Joel 2:25) educationally
for your children. Through Christ, what
a difference you can make in the lives
of His precious lambs!
"Seatwork activities" refers
to student writing exercises such as workbook
pages, spelling lessons, writing lessons,
etc. The character-forming goal of seatwork
activities is to train students to be
committed disciples in how they perform
their seatwork tasks as a pattern for
every other area of life. The character
of a committed disciple is to do what
Christ did. Christ was under authority.
He came to do the Father's will, and not
His own (John 5:30)...
Normally, having a struggle
with anger isn't something anyone
likes to admit. Yet, the problem appears
to be epidemic even in Christian
homes. According to Chapman and Campbell,
in the five Love Languages of Children:
"... the primary
lifetime threat to your child is his
or her own anger. If your child does
not handle his own anger well, it
will damage or destroy him. The mishandling
of anger is related to every present
and future problem your child may
have from poor grades to damaged
relationships to possible suicide.
It is imperative that you do all you
can to safeguard your child now and
in the future."
Using God's educational
pattern to "add to your faith
virtue, to virtue knowledge"
(2 Pet 1:5), Christ-Centered Curriculum
helps to lay a precious foundation
of Jesus Christ during your children's
most formative years. Faith, virtue,
knowledge for the mother first, then
for the child. As you moms continually
grow in Christ, you'll have more to
give to your children... The following
information is designed to help you
adapt these fine teaching tools to
best fit your family's needs. We'll
begin with a look at phonics and how
to apply phonics to reading. Then
we'll briefly cover the four characteristic
temperaments/learning styles and the
three modalities (how children remember
best)...
It's been said, "Give
me a child the first six years of
his life and you can do what you will
with him thereafter." During that
short period, the bulk of a child's
personality, character, habits, and
intellectual makeup is established.
And, the late preschool years are
the most common for salvation. Because
of the extreme importance of these
formative years, the decision about
whether to teach - or not teach -
merits much prayer... One might say
that we are in a spiritual warfare
for our children's souls. The battle
lines are clear. God says, "All your
children shall be taught of the LORD,
and great shall be the peace of your
children" (Isa. 54:13, NKJV). The
world's view was captured in women's
lib advocate and Ms. magazine editor
Gloria Steinem's statement: "By the
year 2000 we will, I hope, raise our
children to believe in human potential,
not God."
Already born with an
"I-want-what-I-want-when-I-want-it"
nature, preschoolers are ripe to fall
prey to a love for the world and all
that is in it (1 John 2:15-16). This
is especially true when it comes to
education. Therefore, we need to be
particularly cautious when selecting
curriculum materials because there
is no such thing as neutrality (Matt.
12:30)...
Did you know that all
four mathematical operations are recorded
in the Genesis 1-2 creation account?
For example, God made a day and he
divided it into evening and morning.
He made one day; then He added something
to it. He commanded animals to multiply
upon the earth, adding numbers of
"like things" to His creation.
He subtracted a rib from Adam; then
He added another human, Eve.
Mathematically, addition
is the basis of all other operations.
So we start there. The first thing
God did was to add something to the
nothing that existed-the heavens and
the earth (Gen. 1:1). His first act
was one of addition. Addition is generally
used in connection with added blessings,
usually a result of obedience. However,
sometimes the term add has an undesirable
connotation such as when God adds
a curse as a result of disobedience.
Addition and subtraction are operational
inverses. Inverse means "reverse
order." In other words, it is
a doing/undoing relationship...
